Kansas State has strengthened its football staff with the addition of D’Mitri Emmanuel, hiring the former standout offensive lineman and assistant coach as an offensive line analyst, according to a report from 247Sports’ Chris Hummer.
Emmanuel joins the Wildcats after spending the past two seasons at Florida State, where he most recently served as a graduate assistant and assistant offensive line coach. A former player turned coach, Emmanuel has quickly built momentum in the coaching ranks, earning respect for his technical knowledge and hands-on approach in the trenches.
Before transitioning into coaching, Emmanuel was a key contributor on the field. After transferring to Florida State from Charlotte, he became a two-year starter at guard, starting 27 games for the Seminoles. His strong play earned him first-team All-ACC honors in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons, establishing him as one of the conference’s top interior linemen during that stretch.
Following the conclusion of his playing career, Emmanuel remained with the Seminoles’ program, assisting with both the offensive and defensive lines while also playing an active role in recruiting. He was frequently involved in evaluating and developing offensive and defensive line prospects, gaining valuable experience behind the scenes.
The move comes as Florida State continues to navigate a challenging period, searching for consistency after recent struggles, despite earlier success earlier in the decade. Emmanuel’s departure marks another example of a young assistant advancing to a new opportunity at the Power Five level.
