Now that Tennessee’s roster is beginning to take shape, the early chaos of the transfer portal has settled, and the Vols are firmly into the core phase of roster building.
Rick Barnes’ squad has already added key pieces, including Belmont’s Tyler Lundblade, Cal’s Dai Dai Ames, and Loyola Chicago’s Miles Rubin. However, Tennessee still has several roster spots to fill, and the staff remains active and aggressive in the portal.
One of Tennessee’s major targets is Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, though his recruitment reportedly comes with a significant price tag attached.
Even so, the Vols have not backed off, continuing to pursue high-level talent as they look to strengthen the backcourt and maintain momentum heading into next season.
Adding to the excitement, Tennessee has also received a strong expert prediction in its favor for Notre Dame standout Jalen Haralson.
According to a reported “crystal ball” projection, the Vols are now viewed as a serious contender to land the talented wing, giving Tennessee a potential edge over powerhouse programs like North Carolina and Ohio State, both of whom are also heavily involved.
Haralson, a 6-foot-7 freshman, posted impressive numbers last season, averaging 16.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
His production and versatility have made him one of the most sought-after names in the portal, and landing him would represent a major statement win for Tennessee over traditional blue-blood competition.
If Barnes and his staff are able to close on Haralson, it would mark one of the biggest additions of the offseason and further elevate expectations in Knoxville.
Combined with Tennessee’s current portal success, it could push the Vols into early preseason top-10 conversation and signal a serious push toward a deep postseason run.
