Mets Add Depth to Farm System
The New York Mets have made a move to strengthen their organizational hitting depth by signing infielder/outfielder Nick Roselli, bringing back a familiar name into their system.
Signing From Independent Baseball
Roselli joins the Mets after spending time with the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League, widely regarded as one of the strongest independent leagues in professional baseball. His signing was confirmed by Ducks president Michael Pfaff, marking a return to MLB-affiliated baseball for the young player.

Familiar Face Returns to the Organization
This is not Roselli’s first stint with the Mets. He has previously been part of their minor league system and even appeared in Spring Training, meaning the organization is already familiar with his skill set and development profile.
Prospect Background and Draft History
Roselli was selected in the 11th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of the State University of New York at Binghamton. At 23 years old, he brings positional versatility, capable of playing both infield and outfield roles.
Struggles at the Plate
Offensively, Roselli is still working to find consistency. Last season, he hit .233 at Single-A St. Lucie and then dropped to .136 after a promotion to High-A Brooklyn, numbers that highlight his ongoing adjustment to higher levels of competition.

Opportunity for a Fresh Start
Although he remains on the fringes of prospect status, the Mets clearly see enough potential to give him another chance. Moving forward, Roselli will need to significantly improve his hitting performance if he hopes to stick in the system and advance through the minor league ranks.
