Fort Wayne Swim team’s Naomi Bowland has announced her verbal commitment to the Missouri Tigers women’s swimming and diving as part of its 2027 recruiting class.
Bowland shared her excitement about the decision, expressing gratitude to her family, coaches, and teammates for their support throughout her swimming journey, and thanking the Missouri coaching staff for the opportunity to continue her academic and athletic career as a Tiger.
A standout at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Bowland has contributed to multiple state championship relay wins and delivered strong splits in both freestyle relay events. While primarily a breaststroker, she earned a fourth-place finish in the 100 breast at the state level with a lifetime-best performance.
Over the past year, she has shown steady improvement, dropping time across multiple events at major competitions, including personal bests in the 100 freestyle and 200 breaststroke at the Indiana Swimming Senior Championships.

Her strongest events include the breaststroke and freestyle, where she has continued to make significant progress, positioning herself as a promising addition to Missouri’s roster.
Bowland joins teammate Lilia Barber in Missouri’s 2027 recruiting class as the Tigers continue building depth for future SEC competition.
