Chris Klieman is still actively reshaping the Kansas State football roster. Following spring practice, the Wildcats aimed to strengthen key positions—and Klieman has done just that. The latest addition is running back Antonio Martin, who announced his commitment to K-State after a standout 2023 season at Southeastern Louisiana, where he rushed for 1,228 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Martin, originally from Atlanta, began his college career at Georgia Tech before redshirting, then transferred to Blinn College, and later made a name for himself in the FCS. He briefly joined Louisiana-Monroe earlier this year before entering the transfer portal on April 25. Just days later, on May 1, he committed to Kansas State, marking his fourth college program.
At 5-foot-11 and 220 pounds, Martin brings proven production and will add crucial depth behind current K-State backs Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson. His ability to produce explosive performances—such as his 206-yard, three-touchdown game against Tarleton State—makes him a potential impact player in the Big 12.
Martin is the third transfer the Wildcats have brought in this week. He joins offensive linemen JB Nelson from Penn State and Terrence Enos from Pitt, signaling an aggressive push by Klieman to bolster the team with experienced talent.
Now, Martin will look to carry his momentum into a Power Five program and prove that his FCS dominance can translate at the next level in Manhattan.
