The Kentucky Wildcats have secured their first addition in the transfer portal, landing guard Zoom Diallo on Wednesday afternoon after missing out on several other targets.
Diallo, who spent two seasons at the University of Washington, broke out in his sophomore year by averaging 15.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the field and 31.5% from three-point range, all career highs after a solid freshman season.
His commitment comes after Kentuckyโs pursuit of other guards, including BYU transfer Robert Wright III, who visited Lexington but ultimately did not commit amid speculation he may return to Provo.

Point guard inconsistency was a major issue for Kentucky last season after Jaland Loweโs preseason shoulder injury derailed the position group and eventually led to his transfer to Georgetown after surgery ended his year early.

While the Wildcats still have roster work ahead and remain active in other high-profile recruitments, including top 2026 prospect Tyran Stokes, Diallo gives Mark Pope and his staff an important early win as they continue reshaping the roster for next season.
