The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball added another experienced piece to their backcourt this week, landing former South Dakota Coyotes men’s basketball guard Jordan Crawford through the transfer portal.
The commitment gives head coach Dennis Gates added depth and shooting as Mizzou continues rebuilding its roster for the 2026 season.

Crawford is coming off the best season of his college career after averaging 14.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game at South Dakota while starting all 32 contests.
The 6-foot-3 guard also shot 36.8 percent from three-point range and earned Second Team All-Summit League honors during his breakout campaign.
Before arriving at South Dakota, Crawford spent time with the Charleston Cougars men’s basketball and Eastern Kentucky Colonels men’s basketball, making Missouri the fourth stop of his college career.
His experience across multiple programs was viewed as a major factor in Mizzou’s decision to pursue him late in the portal cycle.
Missouri’s coaching staff believes Crawford can immediately help space the floor alongside incoming five-star freshman Jason Crowe Jr. and fellow transfer additions.
The Tigers have aggressively attacked the transfer portal this offseason, adding several experienced players as they look to compete in the SEC after an early NCAA Tournament exit.
Crawford’s addition likely fills one of Missouri’s final roster spots heading into the summer, and his proven scoring ability could make him an important rotational piece in Columbia.
While he may not arrive as the centerpiece of the roster, his shooting and veteran presence give the Tigers another reliable option in what is shaping up to be a revamped backcourt for the upcoming season.
