Wisconsin is building strong momentum in the 2027 recruiting class, but the program is already working ahead as it hosts a major group of 2028 prospects for its annual Bucky’s BBQ weekend.
A loaded list of early targets visited campus, headlined by several top-ranked offensive and defensive recruits.
On offense, the Badgers welcomed a deep group of quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, and offensive linemen, including multiple four-star prospects and nationally ranked talents at key positions.
The visit included elite running backs ranked among the best in the country, a highly regarded legacy quarterback recruit, and several top tight ends and linemen expected to be major priorities in the cycle.
Defensively, Wisconsin hosted one of the nation’s top overall prospects in a five-star edge rusher, along with several four-star linebackers, cornerbacks, and safeties.

The group also included emerging in-state talent and key out-of-state targets from recruiting hotbeds like Arizona and Illinois.
Overall, it was a high-impact weekend for Wisconsin as the coaching staff continues to aggressively build relationships and lay the foundation for what could be a strong 2028 recruiting class.
