The veteran posted a 2.39 ERA across nine starts for the Mets, compiling 45 strikeouts in 52.2 innings while establishing himself as a key piece of New York’s rotation.
Although some advanced metrics suggest slight regression could occur, his overall performance was among the strongest of any available starter.
Holmes’ injury complicates his trade value, but it could also create an opportunity for interested teams.
