Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Volunteers are still looking to strengthen their frontcourt, and they may turn to the high school ranks to do it, with 7-foot-1 2026 center prospect Favlour Ibe scheduled for an official visit to Knoxville.
Ibe is a 4-star recruit, ranked as the 21st-best center in his class and the fifth-best player in Maryland by 247Sports, and he has drawn interest from major programs including Michigan, Alabama, Maryland, Texas, and Florida State.
Tennessee has already added size through the transfer portal with Miles Rubin from Loyola-Chicago and Braeden Lue from Kennesaw State, while also bringing back DeWayne Brown, but still appears to need another true interior presence for depth.
Ibe stands out as the tallest and most traditional rim-protecting option currently being considered, offering a level of length and interior size unmatched on the roster.
Meanwhile, Tennessee is still waiting on a decision from Juke Harris, who is weighing the NBA Draft and the transfer portal after Barnes recently visited him in California.
If Harris stays in college, Tennessee is believed to be in a strong position, which would leave one final roster spot that Ibe could ultimately fill.
