Running back David Gabriel Georges has quickly established himself as one of the premier prospects in the 2027 recruiting class, drawing significant attention from powerhouse programs across the country.
The standout talent has already visited schools such as the Ohio State Buckeyes, Tennessee Volunteers, Ole Miss Rebels, Georgia Bulldogs, and Oregon Ducks as his recruitment continues to gain momentum.
Coming off a remarkable junior campaign at Baylor School, Georges rushed for 1,756 yards and scored 27 touchdowns, earning him the prestigious MaxPreps National Player of the Year honor.

His achievement was especially notable as he became the first underclassman to win the award since 2017.
Although numerous programs remain interested, the battle for his commitment appears to be narrowing. Recruiting insiders have indicated that the race has largely come down to Ohio State and Tennessee, with both schools working aggressively to secure his pledge.

The Buckeyes hosted Georges for an official visit on May 29, while the Volunteers welcomed him to campus on June 5. Those visits are expected to play a major role in shaping his final decision as both programs make their strongest recruiting pitches.
Despite the intense competition, momentum currently favors Ohio State. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman recently submitted an expert prediction projecting Georges to land with the Buckeyes, signaling growing confidence that Ryan Day and his staff are in the driver’s seat.

Rated as a five-star prospect, the nation’s No. 2 running back, and the No. 13 overall player in the 2027 class, Georges would represent another major recruiting victory for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes already boast one of the country’s top classes and could add Georges alongside fellow five-star prospects David Jacobs and Jamier Brown as they continue building an elite future roster.
